You coordinate the care. We find the caregiver who can carry out your plan.
The caregivers we refer work to their own level of competency under your direction — medication reminders, everyday health tasks, and, when the plan calls for it, a higher-credentialed caregiver or a licensed nurse. We present candidates whose experience fits, then stay reachable as the plan changes.
Four steps, and the family stays in charge.
Tell us what the plan requires
The hours, the tasks, and the level of experience or credential the situation calls for.
We present candidates
Caregivers whose experience and availability fit, with their background and experience — including licensed nurses when that is what the plan needs.
Your client chooses
The family or client interviews, decides, and engages the caregiver directly.
The caregiver works under your direction
To their own level of competency, on the schedule your client sets — and when the plan changes, we present again.
Hallmark facilitates.
- Answer the phone — a real person, days, nights and weekends.
- Recruit and screen experienced caregivers, and present candidates whose experience and availability fit what you tell us.
- Help coordinate the details for the family — getting started, scheduling tools, weekly billing and the year-end tax forms — so those tasks stay off their plate.
- Help families arrange for a long-term care insurance policy to pay, including the carrier’s forms and invoices.
- Tell you honestly, and quickly, when we cannot help in time.
The family decides.
- Interviews and chooses the caregiver, and engages the caregiver directly — the caregiver works for the family, not us.
- Sets the schedule and the tasks, and directs the day-to-day care.
- Decides whether to continue — at any time, for any reason.
- Owns the plan of care, with the clinicians and professionals the family works with. We do not assess the patient or write the plan; the caregivers we refer work to their own competency under the direction of the family’s nurse or care manager.
In one breath.
Approvals and memberships we hold.
Answered plainly.
Can the caregiver take direction from me?
Yes. The family engages the caregiver and asks them to work under your direction. You set the tasks, within the caregiver's own competency, and change them as the plan changes.
Can you find someone for higher-acuity tasks?
Yes, we can often help families with higher-acuity needs, including feeding tube support, medication management, and other requirements. The caregivers we refer work to their own level of competency, under the direction of your care manager or nurse, and when the plan calls for a higher-credentialed caregiver or a licensed nurse, we can present candidates qualified for it. Capability follows the individual caregiver, and the family agrees to it.
Do you do assessments or write care plans?
No — that is yours. We present candidates matched to what you tell us the plan requires, and we do not supervise the care. That is what keeps the caregiver an extension of your plan rather than someone else's staff.

Hallmark is a referral agency, not a home care employer. The caregivers we refer work directly for the family, more of what the family pays reaches the caregiver, and the family receives higher continuity of care.
